For lunch, or a formal Sunday dinner, everyone would stand behind their chairs while one of the faculty recited the prayer. With the final 'Amen', 200 people would, in unison, pull their chairs out and sit down. The sound of that many chairs scraping on the hardwood floors was very very loud!
